Hello there! My name is Kristen and I am currently finishing my fourth year as a clinical intern in my rigorous graduate studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, and clinical Chinese herbal medicine.
I was born & raised in the river canyon sparklin', wildflower swayin' mountains & foothills of the Sierra Nevada. It was through that rearing naturally immersed in the plant world of my native habitat that inspired a passion for herbal medicine.
I believe that through learning to tune in and pay close attention the to the shifts and natural orders of the environments and positive skies that we find ourselves drawn to, we can learn a lot about our individual constitutions and unique patterns of health. That to learn intimately the moods and patterns of the plants that grow where we grow, we can connect to ourselves and understand how to keep balanced, bountiful health within the natural unveiling of the seasons.
I will graduate with my masters in Chinese Medicine in 2020 from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR, and will return to my native mountains of the Sierra Nevada to practice as an Acupuncturist and Herbalist.
I also hold a BA from UC Berkeley in Cultural Anthropology, and studied Western Herbalism at the California School of Herbal studies in Sonoma County.
LITTLE HUA print project is my attempt to connect patients and practitioners to the beauty and accessibility of Chinese Herbal medicine, and build a colorful platform to share my passion for plants and plant medicine.
Thank you for supporting my work, & happy romping out there.
